First to Fourth

Now cover your right eye and read the line 3rd from the bottom.

Well, the Cubs have managed to score as many runs in the past two days as girls I scored with in high school (who am I kidding, I didn't score in HS). Since the Great Chicago Weekend, everything has turned to shit. The Bulls lost and the Blackhawks lost twice. But at least they both made it interesting. I didn't see the Bulls game, but I heard the refs were a little biased towards Boston in the OT loss. NBA refs favoring teams, who would have thought? And who would have thought the Blackhawks would come back after being down 4 goals in the second period.

But the Cubs were just SPANKED by Dusty's Reds. DUSTY FUCKING BAKER, PEOPLE. I'm so depressed I'm thinking about opening a twitter account so I can tell people about it in 142 characters or less. If they lose tomorrow I might have to open a Facebook account and join some sort-of Cubs Support Group.

It's not shaped like a penis, it's shaped like a bicep...for power.

Luckily I will be able to step back this weekend from the Cubs as I told the GF I would help (help means doing myself) install hardwood floors in her new house. Then it's the Cubs here in AZ early next week. The annual 3-day (2 days for yours truly) outing starts at Jackson's on Third with plenty of warm Bud Lights from an ice tub and Irish Car Bombs, followed by sushi and annoying fans as we watch the Cubs lose to the D-Bags at Chase field and ends in trying to prevent Angry Mike from getting into a fight with said fans.

It's a good thing they put that security device on the Vodka, people were stealing it like gang-busters.

A couple a notes before I go home and drown my sorrows in a liter of Economy Grade Vodka:

1. The Cubs have burned $5 million between Gaudin and Vizcaino. If Hendry had that kinda money to be throwing away, why did they make "monetary" decisions that lost half the Cubs female fan population to the Indians over the summer.

2. The Cubs are now in fourth place behind the Cards, Reds and Pirates. All I gotta say is, "Suck on that Brewer fans."

3. I noticed on Cubs.com that I can now vote for my favorite Cub players for the All Star Game. I've already voted for Mr. Monopoly and his .043 average 20 times, Geo and his .115 average 11 times, and WTP Lee and his .222 average 3 times. What problem with the offense?

4. Ronny is still checking the replay to see if it was an error on Hoffpauir in the seventh.

5. I'm so glad the Cubs got rid of Neal Cotts to bring up the Shark. No...that didn't happen? He gave up a homer today? Well, at least his pitches must be traveling over the strike zone now.

Go Cubs?

Maybe don't throw yourself off a ledge until we are at least 50 games into the season. The Cards just aren't as good as they have been playing and the Cubs aren't as bad as they have looked the last 3 games.
